In December 2023, my mom and I headed to Budapest to celebrate my birthday, and I had one very specific thing on my wish list - snow. Not just snow on the ground, but actual snow falling while we explored the city.

On our second morning, I woke up to snow falling outside the big green balcony doors of our Airbnb, and we couldn't get dressed fast enough to get outside. Between the gorgeous architecture, festive Christmas atmosphere, and cozy little cafés, I absolutely fell in love with Budapest in the winter.
